According to a Chinese gynecologist who currently is working at Loyola University Hospital with my Mother:
there are a decent amount of women in China who are "loose" and try to "get" with Americans in order to return to the United States with them. Many of said women are also reportedly "dirty" (STDs), and I am to watch out for said "dirty" & "loose" women.

Updates will be posted in the order they are received.
All sales are final.

Work the Beat Fields Till Well Past Midnight [Jun. 4th, 2007|05:08 pm]
My mom wants to throw me a "bon voyage" party.

Now it makes sense to have it shortly before I go (August 7th), but Melben's wedding is on the 4th and I know Chris, Dave, Kim, etc. are going. So my mom (and kim) have suggested having it the weekend before? I'm cool with that, it's just that it's slightly odd to have a bon voyage party a week before I leave...it's really up to who can go and when. So, I would like it if you guys could tell me when you think it would be best to have and when you could go. I leave on a Tuesday, but having it on a Monday isn't that feasable so...yeah...lemme know folks.

Rational argument vs. pumping an issue to play emotions

Zach Galifianakis is at The Vic on July 6th, assuming it's not sold out yet, I VERY much want to go...anyone want in with me?

According to tickermaster, it's $25.

Friday July 6th, 8pm

I'm still gonna go
a.)He doesn't seem to come to Chicago that often
b.)I'm going to China, so even if he starts to I won't be around

Need some help for my presentation.
Please give me a summary of what you do in a normal days time, just the normal mundane whatnot. Drive to work, eat (a little specific), watched television, etc.
Don't change it in any way so that you might sound better, like you biked 40 miles rather than drove and then planted a tree. Just straight, what you did.
I may or may not need it, but it could be helpful.
Thanks folks

Everyone Get on the Giggle Train, Teeeeeeee-Heeeeeeeee! [Apr. 18th, 2007|10:38 pm]
You all need to watch this:

Special thanks to Straggler (and Lindsey?) for babysitting Alex this Saturday so that I can see Sally play. Also: Who's driving and/or are willing to give me a ride?

North Capital [Apr. 17th, 2007|07:49 pm]
So my adviser didn't turn something in that I needed for the Beijing application till today (due date April 15th), so now I'm on the 'secondary' list for the Beijing center. They said they're nearly full and that I'll have to keep checking in. Awesome!

So me being stupid and thinking I needed my passport to apply (without formally asking someone) leads to me applying close to the deadline, then my adviser of course comes through late. I'm not gonna be happy if I don't get into the program, but oh well.

I need some sleep, all semi-all nighters are making me feel burned out.

p.s. to Jake
I actually saw and said 'hello' to Jackie today. That raises sightings to countable on two hands now! Alright!

April 6th, 1987 - April 6th, 2007 [Apr. 5th, 2007|01:16 pm]
[Current Location |Computer Lab]
[music |White Stripes]

Seeing as how I have been constantly forgetting throughout the week, tomorrow (Friday) is my birthday. Conveniently, I go to a catholic university and have tomorrow (and monday) off because of the good Friday/Easter what-not. Basically they canceled school for my birthday, that's why they call it Good Friday, because it's good that it's my birthday.

Anyway, I have absolutely no plans. Let me know if you want to come to the city. If not I'll probably head out to the suburbs. Maybe a movie? Maybe some din-din? Who knows, so let me know.

Dear Dan Swick,

I was just at a CUERP meeting (environmental dealy at loyola) and professor at (of?) DePaul talked. He was Irish and for some reason he reminded me of you. Similar mannerisms? I don't know. Maybe it was the Irish accent that made him similar to you. He talked about worms and buckthorn and other fun ecological/conservation things. Maybe this is a sign that you should move to Ireland and be an American professor that reminds students of the Irish professor? Case closed, future job decided. Other determinant words. Nature nature nature environment nature guitars beards nature environment.
